Today my six year old lost a milk tooth. He has a high level of separation anxiety. He would cry from the smallest things he would lose. From his broken plate, to his broken toy and almost anything he has had the experience to be with, he would lament over the loss.
Now his own tooth. His big brother tried to comfort him and explained about the tooth fairy and the money he would find under the pillow tomorrow morning. But he still cried his heart out. He suggested to me to “buy teeth” to replace what he lost. He was also asking for his big brother to give him one from his own set if we can’t buy.
He cried until he fell asleep.
Children these days can be so candidly smart. 🙂
